The first day in America

Hi, my name is Misa Kitagawa. I’m a student in AGU. My major is international politics. There are some reasons I choose this summer program. One, I want to improve English. In America, there are many opportunities to speak English. Second, I want to see many historical buildings and have a lot of experiences. My first impressions in America were...There are many cute houses along the streets and Americans are really friendly!! During this program, we are going to visit many places. I’m so exited^^

So you liked the row houses which are typical of Washington, DC. In some of the neighborhoods, like Adams Morgan, these house are painted lots of bright colors. I think you would like to see that! In the DC suburbs, we call them "townhouses."

I am glad you are excited about the program, because we are excited to provide it and hope you will have a good time and practice your English too!
